A lot of people don’t REALLY know how those cool designs on tees are printed. Here at TX tees, we take care of all the dirty work so you don’t even have to worry about it. But for those of you that just can’t contain their curiosity, and are just dying to find out how we make those beautiful t-shirts… here’s some insight into how screen-printing works!
Your design comes to life with our top-of-the-line graphic design artists. The next step puts the SCREEN in screen-printing. We take those awesome designs from our artists, and burn them onto our printing screens that go onto the machine. These screens have tiny holes in them, and the burning process covers all of the holes except where we want the ink to go through. Every single color on the design has its own screen… the more the merrier!
These screens are then loaded onto the machine, and filled with the ink colors that you picked out with the artist. Once we got everything set up, the squeegees start squeegin’ and the shirts start spinnin’.
At last… your shirt has been marked with your perfect design. The ink has been laid, and the shirt is ready to hit the toaster! The shirt gets pulled off the machine, and sent through the dryer to cure the ink… and then it’s done! Congratulations, you’re a screen printer!
